If the accommodation you have chosen for your holiday in Bali is one of the hundreds of luxurious Bali villas available to rent by tourists, then you have made a wise choice, but one with a small element of risk.

That risk is that you are so enthralled by the luxury of that Bali villa that you never leave it.

We are sure that will not happen, especially as there is so much to do in Bali, including a wide variety of water sports.

Water sports are the ideal activity for any holiday in Bali because 1) You can visit several of Bali’s amazing locations, 2) They help keep you fit, and 3) They are great fun. If that all sounds appealing, then read on as you will discover 10 amazing water sports available to you in Bali.

Swimming: What else could we start with other than swimming, either in your villa’s pool or at one of the dozens of incredible beaches which you will discover around Bali?

Scuba Diving: If you think Bali is beautiful above sea level, wait until you see the beauty that exists below the sea. Marine life, coral reefs, and even some shipwrecks are but a few of the wonderful sights you can view whilst scuba diving.

Snorkelling: For a simpler way to discover Bali’s undersea beauty, you could try snorkelling. There are plenty of snorkelling spots around the coasts of Bali and sea temperatures that make the whole experience hugely enjoyable.

Surfing: Back to the surface of the water, at least we are hoping it is with you standing on your surfboard, rather than falling off it. Surfing opportunities abound in Bali, and such is its popularity that Kuta has become one of Bali’s most famous beaches, at least it has amongst the surfing community.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding: Also known as ‘SUP’ this is done at a less frenetic pace than surfing and means more people can participate in it too. You can be bold and try the swells but, for most, the calm sea provides them with a great way to work out and exercise plenty of muscles.

Rafting: For seeing the raw, natural beauty of Bali, there is no better water sport than rafting. Apart from helping you burn off some calories, it can take you to some of the most stunningly beautiful locations the island of Bali has to offer.

Jetpacks And Flyboarding: For thrill seekers and those that want to feel like a superhero flying through the air, why not try jetpacks and/or flyboarding? They do require some instruction first, but once you master the controls you never want to stop.

Kitesurfing: This does take some practice, but those who have mastered it will love kitesurfing as they literally fly over the crest of waves. Top spots for kitesurfing are Tanjung and Sanur.

Sea Walking: Not walking on water, but instead walking on the sea bed. You will be taken on a boat to the spot you will be walking,  issued with a special helmet and shoes, and then lowered to the sea bed whilst oxygen is fed constantly to your helmet.

‘Banana’ Boat Towing: We had to include this as it is one of our favourites if you are looking for some fun in the sea. You all get into the banana boat and experience the thrills as a speed boat tows you across the sea.
